Does Any Sealer Take Care Of Sealing All Materials?

Absolutely not!

The surface types shown ( Quarry tile, Mexican tile, Stone, etc.) can vary greatly in absorption characteristics. A given sealer applied to a low absorption surface can leave most of its solids on top, while on a high absorption surface the same sealer will all penetrate below the surface. Therefore, the same sealer can be glossy on one material and have no gloss on another.

With a "penetrating" type sealer, it is better to penetrate and build with additional applications than to have it all sit on the top. As all sealers are formulated to the proper resilience so they don't crack under traffic impact, too much buildup of a penetrating sealer can create a surface soft enough to show marks.

Note:
Sometimes, despite your diligent research and the best of intentions of your suppliers salesperson, you might have been given the wrong information. Therefore, no matter how confident you are, whether first time user or seasoned professional, it just makes good sense to patch test a small area and evaluate the results in a few hours before doing a large area.

Most Aldon sealers have more than one area they can be used in any project. Check sealer information on the web site.
