Can you steam clean or pressure wash a sealed surface?

First of all, you should not have to use a steam cleaner or pressure washer if the floor is sealed with an Aldon sealer. All you should need for heavy duty cleaning of grease, oil, food, etc. spills is

If the sealed surface is subject to traffic wear, heavy risk of spillage, etc. you should coat it with Aldon "Lifeguard" as additional protection.

If you absolutely must use a steam cleaner or pressure washer for some reason, proceed as lightly as possible because:

  • steam can soften any glossy surface, either "Lifeguard" and/or a gloss creating sealer.
  • pressure washing can lift an area that is not well bonded to the surface, or lift a soft area of the surface itself.
